About

Brent has been in the counseling field for over 26 years working with children, adolscents, adults and couples. The majority of his experience has been working with children, adolescents and their families on challenging concerns such as behavioral issues stemming from hyperactivity and impulsivity, defiance, anxiety, depression, manic depression and family communication. He has also worked for the past 20 years with adults and couples and his areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety related disorders, marriage strengthening and stress management.

Theoretically, his viewpoint is simple: finding solutions with you that work for you. His work is client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive-behaviorally based. If desired, spiritually based counseling services are available to support further change. Most of Brent's hours are during the afternoon, evening, and weekend hours to meet the needs of the individuals and families who work or attend school.

At Horlock Therapeutic Counseling Inc., we are focused on providing counseling services with the highest levels of customer satisfaction and we will do everything we can to meet your expectations.

Why us?

Frequently, we find ourselves caught in patterns that we feel are unable to change. These patterns have been occurring for long periods of time and we may have spent a significant amount of time making efforts to change. Brent has been specializing in working with individuals creating an awareness and developing unique strengths and assets. By developing and focusing on our strengths we can better address the areas that we would like to change. This change can be promoted by increasing our spiritual awareness. We strive at working on being physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy.

Brent also has an approach that encourages individuals and families to become involved in activity and community awareness. Individuals are offered opportunities to become involved in activities that are strength-based such as exercise or artwork as well as community-based volunteering opportunities.

By having a better awareness of ourselves, our families and friends, and our communities we create an environment that promotes positive change.
